Wumex Mental Health Services (WMHS) is a mental health practice founded by Omowumi A, LGPC, NCC, a clinician and doctoral student in Clinical Psychology dedicated to supporting emotional wellness and psychological healing. The practice was established with a commitment to providing accessible, culturally responsive, and high-quality mental health care.

WMHS supports children, adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, depression, stress-related concerns, emotional dysregulation, behavioral challenges, low self-esteem, and major life transitions. Each client is met with respect, empathy, and a collaborative approach that prioritizes safety, trust, and empowerment.

The clinical approach is client-centered and integrative, drawing from evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Person-Centered Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and trauma-informed care. Services focus on building emotional insight, strengthening coping skills, and promoting meaningful, sustainable change.
